Chiltern Cycle Sportive – Road v. Off-Road
Designed for one of our regular clients.
Objective:
Create a single day event that encompasses road and off-road cycling, catering for both experienced and inexperienced cyclists.
Location:
Starting from Tring on the Hertfordshire / Buckinghamshire border, a stone's throw from London.
Routes:
- Road: 67-mile and 43-mile routes, taking in some sections from the Tour of Britain
- Off-Road: 25 – 35 miles, including a mixture of fast trails and technical descents
Pre-event:
- Entry system provided, including charity donations portal
- Regular communication with our client on their requirements, the number of entrants, and any logistics
- Training plans made available for all participants
- Optional training rides offered
- Full and detailed briefing sent to all participants so they arrive knowing what to expect
The Day:
- Hearty breakfast on arrival
- All bikes fully checked by our technicians
- Branded gilet, a puncture repair kit, and a small first aid kit given to each participant
- Full event briefing by our Event Director and professional cycle guides
- Group starts, led by guides
- Technical and medical support for all groups en route
- Well-stocked food stations, plus a stop for lunch and refreshments
- A warm welcome at the finish, with hot showers and hot drinks available
- Celebratory BBQ and drinks to finish the day
- Charity raffle and auction (run by our auction master).
As a guide, an event of this type and size costs approximately £140-150 per head, based on 40 participants.
